I had the rare privilege today to see a flying squirrel in my backyard and was able to capture a few images. Very few were in an ideal, clean photogenic habitat but this critter was just so beautiful I took quite a few anyway. I also had the chance to see it “fly” which was amazing, although not lucky enough to get any shots of that.
Until today I didn't even realize there were flying squirrels in Vermont!
